Roller Coaster - Poem by Melissa Koeman

My life,
It goes up and down just like a roller coaster
Once I’m up, I crash down
I’m standing on the ground
I look up to the roller coaster
Wondering why I’m still down here
And not high up in the sky
Riding in the roller coaster
No I’m still down here
Looking at the people in the roller coaster
That are having fun high up there
And I’m still down here
As I look up to the roller coaster that keeps going up
The ruins of my crash surround me
