Rollercoaster

For a minute you were sweet:

Lost in the sweet
Viscous delicious
Stuck to the skin of
wrapped in the limbs of
Your sweet.

The minute-hand ticked
(a month or two in a tick)
To the other side of sweet:
The hangover.

Next minute you were mean:

Lost in the mean
dishing me vicious
Stuck to the sin of...
wrapped in the limbs of...
frosty fear-based mean.

The minute-hand ticked
(a month or two in a tick)
Till the sweet and the mean...
....mingled with seconds.

I love you between the seconds
which tick an alternating current
of viscous sweet
of vicious mean-

I try and love you best
in the inbetween.....
