Rollin' 7s Outside Motel 8 Poem by Richard Jarboe

Rollin' 7s Outside Motel 8

We had a lewd interlude,
Me and Lucille,
We got drunk of the 4th of July,
We polished a 5th, Me and Lucille,
And she brought a 6pack to top off the deal.

We got drunk gamblin', Me and Lucille,
Rolling 7s outside a Motel 8,
Everything was lookin' fine by 9,
While she opened that third bottle of wine.

We usually behave, Me and Lucille,
Making contact, we usually behave,
Not this time, not on this date,
Just a lewd interlude and gambling,
Rollin' 7s by the Motel 8.
