Romance Poem by Ajit Das

Romance

Tell me frankly: where does love dwell?
Confident, you’ll reply: deep in the heart.
But, then, they claim you may be wrong.
Love has departed, clambering up the neck,
lying hidden in tiny terrains of the brain.

A bashful smiling face or a stolen glance
may not assure a potential love match.
Scan of the brain detects durable romance.
Your smartphone can also pick up signs,
measuring the tell-tale depths of attraction.

Do you really need a scan or an app to tell
if someone fancies you from the heart?
A hazel-eyed face, a dimple in the cheeks,
a wide, innocent stare of joy and wonder
still weave enduring bonds of true romance.

The exponential exposure to all sorts of information and ultra modern gadgets easily available have drastically changed the concept of romance too. Very nice write. Thanks for sharing.10 points.
