Romeo And Juliet Poem by Robert Rorabeck

Romeo And Juliet

Shanghai is the biggest city in the world—
It is where I found my wife:
And we road busses together and went to the
Zoo:
Like Romeo and Juliet, we were married
The second night of our daydream—
But this doesn’t have to be a tragedy:
Our families are not ancient enemies:
They mean nothing to one another, but are stock
Full of good will:
I told you, we will name our first son John Wayne,
Because I always wanted to be a cowboy,
And that is alright with you.
