Rooster, Before The Sun Poem by james watkin

Rooster, Before The Sun

Informed, gloatingly by it, of your
Ascension's imminence
I laugh, who art, over elements four
A hoary crowned head.
Who wert, beyond Kublai Khan's rise
Attila's first offence
Esteemed of Earth, in water, wise;
As all that sprung there spread.
