Roses And Rings Poem by Katherine Rhodes

Roses And Rings

Rating: 5.0

She heads toward me
with a bright-eyed smile
and a look that speaks
more words than she knows
and her feet skip
to the tune in her head
that sings
of a bush of red roses and rings.
Her mind doesn't worry
of the troubles of life
or the strife that is sure to come,
she just hums along
making us onlookers grin,
and sin, through our envy
of her carefree ways,
and remember the days
when we could laugh and skip
to the tunes in our heads
that sang
of rings and red roses.
