We never safeguard our progeny
by overprotecting our kids
The blankets that we spread
and fences we build
Imprison,
rather than defend
Ensuring weaker and hapless offspring
—inside a diminished and helpless world

I agree. We do our children no favors by denying them the exposure needed to the realities of life. Interaction and knowledge strengthen us. I enjoyed reading your words of wisdom.
