Round, Round, Round Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

Round, Round, Round

Round, round, round
Turn, turn, turn
I hear the voices
And the Rhythm beats
Beats regular.

Surprise,
Surprise
Surprise is born
From clothes poor
And torn
And tattered
From the crazy eyes
And the muttering mouth.
Crazy-wild

And then when
Born
It has two roads to choose
The dusty and the gold

The dusty road he choose
And
That alternative
Was gold, gold, more gold

And the Tongue unbound and sang and sang and sang.
