Round The Gorges Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

Round The Gorges

the waters wind and
round the gorges
in the mountains
ply
round desert cliffs and
dunes
in desert lands

o! here magic dwells
by night
by day
in mists and not

here
courts, conquests, police,
generals, armies, admirals
and fleets
unknown
kilometers from here
stretches alone and immense
a haughty sea
