Royal Ones Poem by Charmaine Forde

Royal Ones

One by one
They're disappearing,
No more dancing
On the ground
Still we listen
To their music in silence
As we dance,
And as we frown

Musical Geniuses,
Reigning Kings
And Princes'
Heaven must be
Blowing its trumpet,
Welcoming these
Legends
One by one-
Thus today
Was last we saw them
Then tomorrow
They are gone

The older I get, the more of my musical idols die. But their music lives on
