Rules Poem by Jane Cai

Rules

To dance, I have to follow the partner
To cook, I have to learn from my mother
To write, I have to attract myself before amuse the reader

Can I smile loudly but cry in silence
Can I love in confidence yet lose in elegance
Can I go against the rules still see the life with balance

I am puzzled
How I did touch the heaven if I was not ready to fly
Or if anything but not rules can provide the reply
