Run Away Poem by Vi Lanflagle

Run Away

The night sky
Getting dark
Closing in around me
Like i'm in a box
I can't see beyond a couple of feet.

The wind is howling
I'm lost and tired
Cold and alone
Nobody knows where i am-
Including me.

Was looking for adventure and excitement
But found only grief and misery
Frantically i search for a way home.

It's not like i wan't loved
Sure there were some bad times
Maybe a couple rough spots
But it was never bad enough for this.

So desolate, everything looks dead
Finally i find a street corner
Where i lay huddled in my jacket.
And i pray for the Lord to lead me home
And maybe i'll find my way
In the morning.
