Running Poem by Carl Roussell

Running

Running out the door on a winter's night,
Don't let the bright sunlight deceive you.Wrap
Yourself in layers, keep the cold away.
The air, feel it, it burns your face. The slap
from the wind, from his hand.Run from the trap.
Frostbite better than a hurt in the night.
Now find shelter before you lose your light.
