Sacred Shrine Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Sacred Shrine

Sacred shrine

Sacred are lands of love
Lands of love and failure
Quechua Girl of Incas fell in love
She cried: "Ollantay"
He was dad's general

"No! Never! " said the boss
She was caught
Her limit between walls
Lover killed

Now the land is shrine
Tampo is Ollantay's
Rocks are carved
Scary, faces large
Like Farhad's Bistoon
Both sacred for lovers

In Sistan there's shrine
(Bi-Bi-Doost; for ladies)
Behind it stories
"Great land, take me in."
She sat; begged
Mother Erath, as she is
(Generous; always gives)
Took her in before rape
That shrine is sacred.
