Sacred The Hill Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

Sacred The Hill

Sacred the hill
Sacred the Shrine-Temple
Sacred and still
Sacred in awe
Sacred its awe
Sacred the feet that trod the hill
Barefoot naked climbing:
Sacred each pace,
Each step
For came the sacred Poet-Seer to the Shrine-Temple sacred:
Slow and serene
The green reverberated
And
Serene burnt the incense smokes in the Shrine-Temple
