Saddle Up Poem by Wojja Fink

Saddle Up

Got myself a horse
Maybe a sorrel
Maybe have socks
Maybe still wild like the wind
Maybe calm like a meadow of flowers
Maybe black like sky
May have spots like stars
Maybe knows all the water holes
Maybe knows the way home alone
Maybe faster than the mind

Maybe don’t matter
I got a horse.

Show me the way
To the creeks
To the rivers
To the woods
To the secrets
To the hills
To the canyons
Slow the pace
To the unmoving

Beyond sorrow
Beyond sadness

To stillness
To joy
In the Self,
The One Self in all.

Saddle up, let's go.
