Sadness Poem by Tui Goodwin

Sadness

I walk this road
My feet are bare
I feel no pain
Although glass, scattered everywhere
Rain washing away tears
Disguise my pain
Strangers pass upon the street
Invisible standing there
Gapping wound replacing my heart
From what you brought before startling contrast
Falling to knees
A slow dieing no one sees
Eyes shutting, braking down
I scream with no sound
No one sees this
I miss your tender kiss
In your arms, no more
I wish to be to numb to be sore
Stay bent over till lifted up
Until this world has had enough
