Sadness Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

Sadness

To the sea of blood,
Sadness upon the face of man;
To the place of war,
Sadness upon the face of man;
Like the keyof the bottomless pit.
Of the crowns of gold,
Like a soldier polishing his shoes for war!
But, Abaddon is the angel of the bottomless pit.

Of an hour,
Of a day,
Of a year,
Like a malak flying in the midst of heaven;
But my kiss is as sweet as the honey on your lips.

To stand upon the sea and the earth,
To eat in a bowl hanging openly in the air,
But the tongue is as sweet as honey in your mouth;
And this is all about the sadness of life when,
You have no one to care for you.

Seven stars and seven moons,
Of the seven thunders to share my views;
But when the lion roars, who hides from it?
Life is like that at times and,
We all need hope to carry on.
