Safe Harbor Poem by R B Seals

Safe Harbor

Eyes narrowed beyond sunset,
Constant reminders of regret;
Again, facing life on my own—
The unkind cut of living alone.

Interests fading, not as strong,
Then one day she came along
Trusting me with fragile heart—
Providing loving counterpart.

Was it weekend or weekday?
Can't remember anyway.
What I know for sure
She became my gentle cure.

A life revived, no longer in need;
A spirit raised, thankful indeed!
