Santa Claus Poem by Cheryl Cheng

Santa Claus

Mother's brought milk and cookies.
No, this job is not for rookies.

Yes, I'm going to catch Santa Claus.
May I tell you the main cause?

Well, each year he brings dolls and dolls.
I want a change! I want bouncy balls.

Now all I have to do is wait.
The milk and cookies should act as bait.
---------------
Oh no! Oh dear! I've dozed right off!
When my brother finds out, he shall scoff.-!

I see the presents! There they lay.
Under the tree on Christmas day.

(I didn't catch Santa, and that's not funny.
I'll just have to wait for the Easter bunny...)
