Santa Claus Comes Tonight Poem by Monica Engeler

Santa Claus Comes Tonight

Down the chimney climbed Claus
He chuckled with such delight
HoHOHO he cried by night
His jolly work doesn't pause.
.
You see Christmas Eve is tonight
And all through the great land
Children wait for one man
He travels in a swiftest flight.

On Dancer, on Vixen, and Dasher
and Rudolf will you lead the way?
Up, up, up went Santa's sleigh
It disappeared in a sudden dash.

First stop was off to the right
A town were only good
boys and girls stood,
Down came Santa's flight.

Santa's red suit looked so upbeat
Even after each child's hand out
It must be magic no doubt
Claus never looked this sweet.

The starry night was still awake
Santa cried out to Prancer
Lets go Cupid. and Dancer
There are more delivers to make.

Merry Christmas to all
And may it be a good night.
