Santa Clause Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Santa Clause

Santa clause

She called me on WhatsApp,
Red both eyes, could not chat:
"You are my Santa Clause…! "

Left the phone, sent pictures,
"This is what meant to send…"

Everything was a mess…

I am in the picture,
In our Manila hotel,
A Santa, face to face.

The phone rang,
On her cheeks two rivers,
She spoke of the picture:
"It was a click away…"

She cried and her lips,
Senselessly were moving,
Like the injured, babies,
She was echoes, tremors!

Finally, I gave up,
Faked a wide big smile,
Encouraged her to talk!

This year, she selected,
To be home, far away
From those near her,
Likes her old memories,
And thinks ours is the best.

My picture with Santa
Had made her think, smile,
And planned to forward.

But suddenly received,
My gift with the notice.

"Yes, you are my Santa! "
