Santa Margherita To Portofino Poem by M C Wright

Santa Margherita To Portofino

We could walk to Portofino you and me
Past the Miramar and Regina Elena
Then along the path ‘tween road and sea
The beauty in your mind will last forever

‘Round the bay past every picturesque home
By Capo Di Nord and Le Cervara on the hill
See yachts and bathers as that way we roam
And be made breathless by everything, still

Paraggi is a little special as everyone sees
Its lovely clear waters like a tropical lagoon
We pass Le Carillion in the shade of trees
We'll reach our destination all too soon

Into Portofino where yachts find a berth
Crowds milling around enjoying the sights
This place truly is just 'paradise on earth'.
Now we are here you know its delights
