നാണയം
ഹൃദയത്തിന്റെ ഖജനാവിൽ
ഞാനൊരു നാണയം നിക്ഷേപിച്ചു,
കാലത്തിന് എടുത്തു-
മാറ്റാനാവാത്തത്,
കള്ളന്മാർക്ക് കട്ടുകൊണ്ടു-
പോകാനാവാത്തതും.
പൊൻകിരീടം ധരിച്ച രാജാവിന്റെ
കമ്മട്ടത്തിലടിച്ചതിനേക്കാൾ നല്ലതാണ്
ഹൃദയത്തിൽ
സുരക്ഷിതമായി
സൂക്ഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന
ഒരു മനോഹരവസ്തുവിന്റെ ഓർമ്മ.
