Saturday Was The Day Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Saturday Was The Day

Yesterday. we greeted the morning
Quite beautiful, glistening with snow.
The sky resembled a silver blue cover
And the lawn ~ white satin, aglow.

Once more, we thanked the dear Saviour
Our carols making reverence complete.
The bounty fulfilled our wildest dreams
With mistletoe kisses pure and sweet.

Silently now, we send prayers of renown
To the ever Holiest 'The Three In One'
With humble thanks for the wonder of Christmas
This year - and for the ages to come.
