Save The Sher Khans Poem by Shekhar Shandilya

Save The Sher Khans

Getting perished in shrinking habitat
shrinking in number each day
but who cares, who bothers that
Sher Khans are passing away.

For trophies on walls of hunter
or traded as an article each day
If not care then, pity on predators
falling to man's greed like a prey

often we have proved this irony
They live in forest, We are wild.
Soon they'll survive in stories of granny
and roar only in realms of a child

once they ruled the forest dense
now their ferocious eyes just weep
each moment is a struggle for existence
but such kings ought to live

we have had enough of talking
It is time for a self clarion call
Save the kings from their suffering
Save the Sher khans and that's all.
