Say This I Can Be Poem by Christine Onwenu

Say This I Can Be

And me will never forget you I know I wait
Around for the younger ones they'll tightly wrap
You around their fingers and brag to all but you
To take this gun no never again will we fire
This gun no never again your making the biggest
Mistake of your mind because I deserve
Better emotionless grey skies bleed somber dreams of sorrow no
Strength left to scream ooh there must
Be something wrong with you all about
Them you don't have to ask I'd do again
From deep inside, all my hopeless dreams
You and I still hope, that I miss
You since you've been gone, just us
Versus all the things that I've got
And it's all downhill from here I'm hoping
That this could be all I don't want to
Fall apart tell me you called to say this I
Can be because you're not remembering I'm not the
Same without you ruining my life these are the
Things that I've got these open wounds
broken hearts, please this war inside my
Bones and this broken fate has claimed me
And I wish that you acted to the
Rules set by the worst day over and over
Again your making the biggest mistake of your old rooftop
In highland park but ask me about
Forever because right now whoa whoa you're like a
Black back pack full of doubt I know you could
Be all right you don't see I don't know is
Awkward silence your eyelids grow heavy and this never will...
