Schiller

but Schiller
is out & about.

Goethe sits at
Schiller's writing desk

awaiting
his return

but almost passes out
with the smell....the smell!

For Schiller can't write
without this smell

rotting apples
(stashed away in a drawer)

Each line flowing from this pungencey
each line drenched in the scent

of apples...
apples rotting.
