School Poem by Elena Blackwood

School

I walk around these crowded halls
Feeling so alone.
I am here in body, yet not in mind
and my heart seems to groan.
I have been here hours and hours,
yet it only has been minutes.
Draining me of the energy
I never had to begin with.
Take me away from here,
this cursed place called school,
that I may live life freely,
without wanting to drown in my pool.
