School My Prison Part 1 Poem by Tia Hospedales

School My Prison Part 1

Rating: 5.0

In this prison I stand still
Waiting for the prison guards to let me in
As the gates open and I walk in looking at the barbed wires spread across the windowsill
I can hear the echoes of the dreams that died here
I see the ghosts of the spirits that reside here
I look up and I see the warden staring at me with dead eyes
She smiled as if she sees me as a prize
She yells at me to stop right there
When I didn't the guards grabbed me by my hair
I went kicking and screaming
When I realized I was about to face my demon
As I get dragged closer and closer
My heart starts to falter
I thought to myself will I survive
Because I know this prison will eat you alive

It is a unique, realistic and sublime write indeed. It is the voice of the innocence imprisoned by the old generations. Thanks
