Love Is Not Real Poem by Tia Hospedales

Love Is Not Real

Rating: 4.0

Love is not real
That's what you said
Those were the words echoed in my head
The day I was no longer alive but dead
My heart ached as I heard the door slam
That day when you listened to the world
Other than our love
I loved you because you were my world
I treated you like a precious pearl
Why is it so hard loving a girl
Love is not real
That's what I heard
And now maybe I'm starting to believe it

Sad reflection depicting the whimsical and temperamental nature of love. Very heartfelt. Thanks for sharing Tianna and do remain enriched.
