Love Is Not Real - Poem by Tianna Hospedales

Love is not real
That's what you said
Those were the words echoed in my head
The day I was no longer alive but dead
My heart ached as I heard the door slam
That day when you listened to the world
Other than our love
I loved you because you were my world
I treated you like a precious pearl
Why is it so hard loving a girl
Love is not real
That's what I heard
And now maybe I'm starting to believe it

Sad reflection depicting the whimsical and temperamental nature of love. Very heartfelt. Thanks for sharing Tianna and do remain enriched. (Report) Reply
