Schwer Ist Mein Herz

Schwer ist mein Herz, der Lieder voll,
Ein Baum mit Frucht, doch ungestört -
Doch geben kann ich keines dir -
Weil keines mir gehört.

Doch kommt des Abends Dämmerung,
Der Falter flattert im Lichtkreis -
Die Frucht mag liegen am grauen Grund
Dann nimm sie dir. Wer weiss?

(nach: Sara Teasdale: My Heart is Heavy)

so, once it's on the ground it's anybody's? I like that law. What a coincidence! re. Dammerung (with the dots) .
