Scott's Song Poem by Vonnie Enochs

Scott's Song

Rating: 4.0

I lay awake at night
and think of what could be
I wonder why you seem so distant
and if you think about me

You said I was the greatest
You said I was the best
I wonder if you still think this
Or forgot that i exist.

I wish you would look me
once more in my eyes
tell me you don't want me
or my sweet sweet lullabies

You never thought
about how I might feel
and frankly I don't think you care
I guess that's the deal

You once said you loved me
In a plutonic kind of way
I'm curious if you still do
To this very day.

I just need you to live with me
to the very end
I dont care if you love me
I just need you as a friend

It's tearing up my soul
I need you to thrive
This pit of anxiety
refuses to die

Iay awake at night
and think of what could be
I wonder why you seem so distant
and if you think about me

Please come back to me
and look me in my eyes
tell me that you want me
and my sweet sweet lullabies.
