The endless sea
We cry there
Dreams die there
Hope drifts
And eventually fades
The drive to strive
To achieve great things
Leaves
Us feeling empty
Hopeless, worthless, pointless
Effortlessly floating out to sea
Instead of swimming to the shore
But we could do so much more
But we don't
We settle for this stagnant state
It’s ok
Or so we say
Lies!
We can do better
If we would just try
Climbing out of this Sea of Despair
