Sea Of Sadness Poem by Abraham John Jaggernauth

Sea Of Sadness

Lost in this sea of sadness, the patterns never seem to change.
The waves continue to crash over me, and leave me in dismay.

I have been adrift, for what has seemed, for many months or even years.
I search for the shoreline, but my strength has slowly receded, and fade.

In these waves, that wash over my head, they take me deeper, and down instead.

I search for the hope, to anchor my soul, but only the bottom, my soul will go.

Beneath these waves, of sin that send, I can't arise, I can't ascend.
I look for hope, I look for a friend, but only sadness, is found, in the deepest end.

My hope is to make it, to breach the surface again, to find my place, and then to seek that end.

The shoreline is my hope, my destination, I intend, but right now, all I know is, the waves that break me, within.

The waves that stutter, the waves that send, that wave of sadness, that's where I'll be in -lost in a sea of sadness, with waves that never end.

The End.
