Sea To Sea Poem by William Night

Sea To Sea

Half a time of sea to sea
She is at liberty
From the north even to the east
One captain of the least
In all the leaves of her spring
The bright sword, and the glittering
Set it as a willow tree
In the land of thy nativity
The way of an eagle in the air
Careful for us with all this care
It is furbished
of the blood that is shed
the mountains were mountains of brass
as it were a sea of glass
Water it by the furrows of her plantation
Of thee a great nation
Stewards of the manifold grace
Where she hath a place
Which had divers colours
Both theirs and ours
Two wings of a great eagle
as they have increased
from sea to sea
