Search My Heart Poem by Ojeikpo Elijah

Search My Heart

Search my heart, oh Lord God,
Let your light shine on its hidden cove,
For within this vessel lies a brokenness,
That only your love can heal and bless.

Search my heart, oh Lord God,
Through valleys and mountains, I have wandered,
Seeking solace, but all I found was meandered,
In this world, where pain and hurt reside.

Search my heart, oh Lord God,
And proof me be your justice,
I long for a heart that is pure and sanctified,
So search me now, and know my heart.

Search my heart, oh Lord God,
Don't allow my enemies to decern my fate,
Let your truth rip away every false part,
Purge me of my doubts and fears.

Search my heart, oh Lord God,
And fill me with your joy and tears,
Tear down the walls the foes built so high,
That separates me from your love, oh Most High.

Search my heart, oh Lord God,
Break me and mold me, make me whole,
Until I'm a reflection of your perfect soul,
For in your presence, I find my rest.

Search my heart, oh Lord God,
Where my brokenness is no longer a test,
But a reminder of your amazing grace,
That transforms me into a vessel of your embrace.

Search my heart, oh Mighty King,
Let your love be the melody that I sing,
Purify me with your holy fire
And make me your vessel, full of your desire.

Search my heart, let it be a brokenness,
That leads me to your arms of tenderness,
For in my weakness, your strength is made known,
And in your love, I find my true home.
