Season Greetings Poem by Babatunde Aremu

Season Greetings

365 days we greet
Saying hi to each other
But one of those greetings
Is special laden with love
Heavens herald it through
White snow in temperate area
Or cold hazy dry harmattan in tropics
Its a global greeting sans barrier,
Kings, presidents, nobles and subjects
Are elated to offer this special salutations
The atmosphere becomes electric
Colours of lights and garments
Differentiate this annual greeting
Its a merry season that unites
Heralding the birth of the Messiah
Christ is the reason for the season
A time of shared joy and love
A season of remembrance of God's love
Its Christmas once again
So, let's share this joy with all
Let this love permeate all
Let it exceed just a season
Let it be for all season
Merry Christmas!
Peace to the world.
