Season Of Change Poem by Carolyn Brunelle

Season Of Change

The path ahead lies strewn with yesterdays
stretched out far as the eye can see;
Autumn falls quick and silent.
So willingly the leaves shuffle off in the wind
in answer to the call of nature in them;
and I wonder if the whole of life isn't
as the ever changing seasons.
The freshness of arrival in the beginning
given to blossoming maturity in passage of time;
then at the last, the relief of final release
and the hope of a glorious legacy in the leaving.
