Seasons Poem by Victoria Gauci

Seasons

In the Summer I find myself feeling unrestrained,
Just as a branch that dances in the wind,
A back and forth motion with a dip here and there,
And once in a while a spin,

In the Autumn a sense of beauty develops,
That fills my being with calm,
As only nature can do in the wake of it all,
Like a bird that lands in your palm,

During the Winter the blues can set in,
And crush my spirit with ease,
Creating a mood of incredible despair,
A temporary social deep freeze,

Just around the corner here comes our Spring,
A bright ray shining on high,
Filling my soul with indescribable light,
And sending those blues all goodbye.
