Second Chances

Second chances new beginnings
This is what God can do
He can change a sinful heart
And help it to live anew
O the wonder of the Word
In the preaching of the Cross
Ignites our hearts to truly believe
And accept our Saviour's cost

There's treasure in that bible
You should check it out sometime
Read as much as you're comfortable with
Then put it away for another time
God by the Holy Spirit
Will begin His work in you
And surprisingly you will find yourself
Wanting to read it all the way through

The life of Jesus Christ proclaimed
From His birth until His death
Then the telling of His Resurrection
To offer us eternal breath
O the glory of the Cross
Man of sorrow turns our hearts to joy
When He forgives us for our sin
Our new life we'll begin to enjoy

O yes there's just one other thing
May you pray before you read
Ask the Lord to reveal Himself
And to show unto you your need
The very words that He spoke emphatically
"Ye Must be born again! "
Make sure you ask God for the meaning of it
For you'll be blessed if you do...amen!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!
