Second Walk Poem by Arik Fletcher

Second Walk

Shadows walk with me again,
Calling out my name,
Darkness watches me again,
Playing out this game,

Fangs grow wet and sharp again,
Vision blurring out,
Hunger pangs grow strong again,
Mind filling with doubt,

Taking in that scent again,
Puts me in a daze,
Finding that sweet taste again,
Sets my heart ablaze,

Fighting with myself again,
Though my will is strong,
Losing this safe hold again,
Hiding for too long.
