Seconds Denied Poem by michael Smajda

Seconds Denied

You put your trust in me
Honestly and unselfishly.
However, little did I know
How much you loved me so.

What troubles me, now, is this,
Though your being I will miss,
I'm denied a second chance,
Ever, to do a do-over romance.
