See Spot Fun Poem by Hubert Wilson

See Spot Fun

Rating: 5.0

A real dog of a day.
Headache pain would not allay.
No matter the medication I took,
My body still shook.
Speech impaired.
I despaired!
My doctor ordered many a test,
While I stressed.
First serology, then radiology.
The urology just seemed to be too much intimate technology!
Finally a result,
After a specialist consult.
For him it was plain to see.
On my brain film a spot the size of a pea.
Was this foreign material,
Or was it something ethereal?
Not a single previous operation
On this location.
No old wounds, scars or even a bump.
I was totally stumped!
Was it just an illus; ion?
Was it FBI collusion?
Was NSA monitoring everywhere I tread?
Was a space alien chip in my head?
Would I no longer need a cell phone?
Would I telephonically roam?
Would I receive winning numbers in games of chance?
Would I have to go into a trance?
Maybe the ultimate prize -
I could program my VCR by blinking my eyes?
Then, I became so dejected!
Absolutely unexpected!
My fear and hope for that little sphere,
Slowly began to disappear.
It was only my doctor's triple vanilla coffee latte spill!
Headaches, tremors and slurred speech - all from too much caffeine swill!
My problems and faux brain spot the size of a pea -
All were due to the bean of the coffee tree!

LOL you had me going there for a moment. Great punchline for the ending.
