Seedless Tree Poem by Gold Trybes

Seedless Tree

Rating: 5.0

The fruits you bear
Speak of your tree
And the quality sown
Sour with no juice
Dry land, dry leaves
Waiting to be watered
To regain its full vigor

Then the rain fell
Showered your land
And watered your roots
Till it overflowed
Then suddenly
Rather than flourish all
Green turned yellow
And leaf after leaf
Went off each stalk
One at a time
Then in droves
All blown away by the wind
But
What happened?
Thought all you needed was life
For you to blossom and flourish
And to bear good fruits
Again, you lost your vitality
And began to die

Your roots absorbed more
Than it could use
Your roots got suffocated
And your depths rather than grow
Began to decay
How life is
A puzzle for some
A comic to others
And a tragedy for some more!

Indeed, life is unpredictable. All we need is to survive and move on! Well-penned!

Yes life can be both a puzzle and a mystery. The difference between tragedy and comedy is of course a tragic ending or a happy ending, but other elements throughout can be one or the other or both. the ancient Greeks called this perception of reality tragi-comedy in their dramatic plays written as an insight into the mysteries of life. The mystery of the tree 'Your roots absorbed more/ Than it could use/ Your roots got suffocated' is of course the tree drowned. The roots absorbed so much water, the cells after being super saturated, expanded burst and died. All life is a balance.
