I lie down eyes shut,
my body and thoughts quiet.

    Senryū Karai was the one who gave name to this poetic form.. Try The Haiku Society of America for senryu, too. The Canadian George Swede is a good haiku & senryu poet

    interesting write, Kyle, but it's not on 'Nature'.. rather on 'Human nature'.. Thus I would label it as a senryu, not haiku
