Senses Poem by Tom Allport

Senses

I heard a knock on my head
But I couldn't be sure
I saw a wooden block in two
But I couldn't be sure
I smelt an iron bar
But I couldn't be sure
I tasted a food for thought
But I couldn't be sure
I touched my wife's heart
And of that I'm sure

(continued) ..... the Senses use is very clever. you are missing n in your first couldn't, but............who's lookin'? ? ;) i didn't quite follow the knock on head at first. you know, one CAN actually hear a knock/sound when her/his head is struck/knocked. open your mouth into a large 0 shape (with mouth open) and rap your knuckles on the top of your skull; i bet you'll hear a knock(s) . to MyPoemList. very nice. bri :)

AHHHH! yes, i agree with FD Sr. (below comment) . does your wife touch YOUR heart as well? ? ? i had an ex-wife who touched MY heart with the tip of a stiletto [[not the 'shoe'! ]]. she went to the gas chamber! [! ] and when i tell my current wife i love you, she says are you sure, or doesn't say anything! at least she cooks supper! (to be continued) ...........
