September Night Poem by Francis Duggan

September Night

Rating: 5.0

September a beautiful time of the year
The sounds ofNature so pleasant to hear
Magpies singing at night in the southern Spring
The sound of their music is such a beautiful thing
The calling of a boobook owl in the moonlight
A memorable sound on a calm Spring night
The slight chill of late Winter in the air remain
Frogs in he ponds singing are forecasting rain
A weather temperature of eight to nine degrees
With only the slightest sign of a breeze
Though a change in the weather does seem on the way
Tomorrow will bring rain so the weather forecast say
In the moonlit sky countless stars twinkling bright
So nice to be out on this September night.
