Serenity Poem by John Leroy Maxwell

Serenity

A walk on the beach, at any time of day, feeling the sand shift
under my feet, with the sun shining down on me like a spotlight
I'm the only one on the stage, it's a one man show
A gentle breeze blowing in from the ocean, with a backdrop
of sailboats gliding smoothly over the calm water
Seagulls hovering above, looking for a handout, as a reward
for their aerial performance
I think of nothing but what I am watching at that moment
And I feel peaceful as I watch the fluffy white clouds scud across
the blue sky
And as they move to create an opening, I sense that God is
smiling down on me
Letting me know that everything is alright at that moment in my life
